1. Refunds, cancellation, rescheduling of the event

Tickets purchased for Building for tomorrow 2021 (the Event) cannot be refunded unless: (a) the Event is cancelled; or (b) the Event is moved to another date and you decide not to retain your booking for the rescheduled Event.

2. Payment terms and conditions for delegates at Building for tomorrow 2021

All bookings made prior to the Event must be paid in full to guarantee registration.

3. Substitutions and cancellations

Tickets are non refundable, however delegates may nominate an alternative person from their organisation to participate up to 48 hours prior to the start of the event, at no extra charge.

4. Access requirements

The Event is a virtual event which can be accessed through desktop or mobile devices using the link provided to delegates. A strong internet connection is required and we cannot be held responsible for any interruption in the event delivery or delegate participation caused by poor internet connectivity. Delegates should advise of any special access requirements at the time of registration.

5. Registration information

Once you have paid in full for your registration, we will send full joining instructions. If this hasn’t been received 7 days before the event please contact us at contactus@building-for-tomorrow.co.uk.

6. Single user

Each booking for the event is for a single user only. Each registered delegate is responsible for all use made of the Event website either by themselves or by anyone accessing the Event website using the access link supplied to the registered delegate.

7. Alterations to programme

NHBC reserves the right to make alterations to the Event programme content and timings. In the unlikely event of the Event being cancelled by NHBC, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate.

8. Delegate profiles

Every registered delegate will have their own personalised profile for this event based on the information provided at the point of registration. To ensure each delegate gets the most from the Event, they should ensure that they are logged into the Event with the correct profile details.

9. Speakers

Views expressed by speakers are their own. NHBC cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the Event or in any material provided to delegates

10. Event recording

The Event is an online event, delivered by a virtual platform and will be recorded. Delegate interaction in the Event may form part of this recording. Delegates who do not wish to be recorded should contact the NHBC Events team at contactus@building-for-tomorrow.co.uk. You are not permitted to make your own video or audio recordings of the Event of use any still photographs or screenshots of the Event for commercial purposes unless expressly permitted by NHBC.

11. Data protection

By booking a place at the Event delegates agree to be contacted by NHBC and/or third parties with details of other relevant products or services that may be of interest. Delegates who later decide not to receive such communications should please email contactus@building-for-tomorrow.co.uk.

To ensure delegates are kept up to date with the things they’re most interested in, they can make changes and update their preferences here.

12. Websites and links

The Event may contain links to NHBC websites and to other associated websites and networking tools provided for the convenience of delegates. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which NHBC takes no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any website linking to www.nhbc.co.uk or to the Event.

13. Connectivity

It is the responsibility of the delegate to arrange appropriate internet connection with their attendance at the Event. NHBC cannot be held liable for any issues with connectivity during the Event. Delegates are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary desktop or mobile equipment and suitable internet connection to access the Event.

14. User Generated Content

The Event website may allow for questions to be posted to Event speakers and for other forms of user generated content (“UGC”). NHBC does not guarantee that all questions posted during an Event will be answered.

If you post any UGC on the Event website, you are granting NHBC a right (but not an obligation) unlimited in time to publish, re-use, archive, modify, delete or commercially exploit that UGC in whole or in part as we see fit, without any requirement to pay you for this and with or without attribution to you.

15. User Conduct

You must not post, link to, or otherwise publish any UGC that is not your own original work, maybe seen as threatening, offensive, libelous, indecent or otherwise unlawful or is discriminatory in nature for example, comments which make attacks on the grounds of race, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age; or personally attacks any Event speaker or any other individual participating in the Event.
